Abstract

The article examines the role of gamification in marketing research as marketers use online game techniques to gather information about consumers' behavior. Topics include the results of a study in which employees were asked to participate in a television viewing and gaming program, the importance of game mechanics to drive competition and reward achievements, and the challenges to gamification implementation.
